Glen Echo In-person Workshops! (Saturdays)

Learn how to how to create a beautiful piece of paper art, using different subjects as the inspiration! You will learn the unique technique of Ronni Jolles, as you complete a beautiful piece of art in layered paper. It’s fun and no previous art experience needed. “Lighthouse” in Layered Paper

We will be creating a layered paper piece of artwork - and trees will be our inspiration. This workshops is a MUST if you’re learning my art form! This subject is fun, and you can do again and again (as I do!) You’ll be using hundreds of kinds of paper I’ve gathered from all over the world. You’ll rip, cut, and crinkle papers to create textured scenes on 8” x 10” stretched canvas.

We will be creating a layered paper piece of artwork - and beautiful poppies by the water will be our inspiration. You’ll learn how to make poppies look three dimensional. You’ll be using hundreds of kinds of paper I’ve gathered from all over the world. You’ll rip, cut, and crinkle papers to create textured scenes on 8” x 10” stretched canvas.

“Summer Trees” in Layered Paper

We will be creating a layered paper piece of artwork - and trees will be our inspiration. I suggest that everyone take one of my tree workshops, and this is a fun subject. (FYI: you can do a trees workhsop again and again….as I do!) You’ll be using hundreds of kinds of paper I’ve gathered from all over the world. You’ll rip, cut, and crinkle papers to create textured scenes on 8” x 10” stretched canvas.

“The Beach” in Layered Paper

We will be creating a layered paper piece of artwork - and the beach will be our inspiration! The beach gives us so many options: the ocean and waves, grasses and dunes, beach umbrellas, sea birds…. You’ll be using hundreds of kinds of paper I’ve gathered from all over the world. You’ll rip, cut, and crinkle papers to create textured scenes on 8” x 10” stretched canvas.

“Perspective of Lavender Fields” in Layered Paper

We will be creating a layered paper piece of artwork - and lavender fields will be our inspiration. First, I’ll teach you one point perspective, which is something that is amazing to learn. After you’ve mastered that, we’ll create pieces of a beautiful lavender field. You’ll be using hundreds of kinds of paper I’ve gathered from all over the world. You’ll rip, cut, and crinkle papers to create textured scenes on 8” x 10” stretched canvas.

Two class series - Daytime - 11am - 1pm: Evening 7 - 9pm

We’ll create 2 pieces: one of sunflowers, and one of a scene of a river through the trees…

It’s called “Art in a Box” because I ship out ALL supplies for the class. The first option is instruction and a box of supplies ($410) and second option is all papers needed for the 2 pieces and canvases ($325)

“Open Studio:” Mondays: 11am- 1pm

I am offering a weekly Virtual “Open Studio” program, when you can brsing pieces you need to finish, or if you want to begin a new piece of your own and you want my help and guidance - this is for you! It’s a wondeful learning experience, and you can participate no matter where you live! You can attend when you’re able - You are only billed for the times you attend. Each class is $65. Contact me if you’d like to join, and I’ll send out an email blast about it at the end of August. It’s fun!
