- Future Events- Ronni Jolles will be participating in: Visiting Artist at Torpedo Factory July 2012 I will be spending July in a studio at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, VA. Courage Unmasked 2 Auction September 2012 Katzen Art Center at American University, Washington DC A fundraiser for head and neck cancer - I will transform a radiation mask into a work of art (along with 70 other artists) to raise money for this type of cancer . Details to follow.. Great Falls Studios Tour October 20 & 21, 2012 I will open my home studio to visitors on Saturday and Sunday of that weekend. Ronni Jolles, an artist known for innovation, has introduced a new art form. Paper – in its many colors and textures – is the essence of Jolles’s work. The technique could be called collage or mixed media, but in fact, it is something quite different . In a language distinct from painting, Jolles uses paper as a painter creates with paint. The many different papers have been gathered from all over the world including such places as Nepal, Japan, Egypt, Thailand, Italy, Mexico, India, and Tibet. more
